Drop a Course

After 10 business days, up to and including the date which is 2/3 the duration of the class, students can drop with a ‘W’ (withdraw) grade. Courses with a ‘W’ grade are not included in your Grade Point Average. Additional rules for dropping a course can be found below.
If you do not drop a course on or before the correct date, you will be assigned a final grade for the course. Refer to Important Dates for dates and deadlines, including the last day to withdraw with a refund, and the last day to register/change sections. Final grades will become part of your student record and will remain on your transcript. Requests to remove these grades because you were not attending will be denied.
Please note that dropping a course may impact your OSAP funding.
You may or may not be eligible for a refund for your dropped course, depending on your enrolment status. Visit the Withdrawals and Refunds page for more information.

Important: If you want to withdraw from your program do not drop all of your courses from MyNC – instead, you must officially withdraw.

Courses can be dropped in MyNC by following these instructions.
