Drop a Course
About Dropping a Course
- After 10 business days, up to and including the date which is 2/3 the duration of the class, students can drop with a ‘W’ (withdraw) grade. Courses with a ‘W’ grade are not included in your Grade Point Average. Additional rules for dropping a course can be found below.
- If you do not drop a course on or before the correct date, you will be assigned a final grade for the course. Refer to Important Dates for dates and deadlines, including the last day to withdraw with a refund, and the last day to register/change sections. Final grades will become part of your student record and will remain on your transcript. Requests to remove these grades because you were not attending will be denied.
- Please note that dropping a course may impact your OSAP funding.
- You may or may not be eligible for a refund for your dropped course, depending on your enrolment status. Visit the Withdrawals and Refunds page for more information.
Important: If you want to withdraw from your program do not drop all of your courses from MyNC – instead, you must officially withdraw.
