SHSM Scholarship
Niagara College offers academic scholarships to eligible Specialist High Skills Major applicants.
$1,000 academic scholarships are available for Specialist High Skills Major applicants who enrol directly from high school in the correct corresponding program and who confirm their offer of acceptance before May 1.
Who’s eligible?
- Direct from secondary school applicants who have received, or are in the process of receiving, a Specialist High Skills Major credential.
- Eligibility is based on the average of the highest final senior level courses in required subjects as of May 1. Where the Grade 12 course is in progress, the Grade 11 final will be used.
- A minimum average of 80% in the required subjects must be maintained to receive this award.
- SHSM students must enrol directly into their related NC program. The award is associated with related programs as the SHSM certificate demonstrates an interest and preparedness for a particular field of study.
- Awards are issued for Fall start programs only.

Meeting minimum criteria for the scholarship does not necessarily guarantee entry to the program. Scholarships will be awarded based on grades and SHSM received prior to the scholarship deadline. Scholarships are applied to your Niagara account upon review of final grades and SHSM reconciliation.
