Ontario Remembrance Scholarship

On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian airliner crashed near Tehran, Iran. Victims of the crash included 57 Canadians. Among the victims, 34 people were employed at or studying in universities and colleges in Ontario. In remembrance of the victims and to commemorate the talent that has been lost, Ontario has provided publicly-assisted postsecondary institutions with funding for dedicated scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year again. Niagara College is grateful for the opportunity to administer one scholarship valued at $10,000.
Eligibility
- Open to both domestic and International students
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate level program of study (diploma or degree) in a ministry approved and funded program
- Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in an eligible program during the 2021-2022 academic year AND be returning to your program in the 2022-2023 academic year.

The Award is now closed. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, and selected candidates will then be invited to a second round virtual interview in July.
